Aimee

Ok, so yesterday I started drawing Aimee Phillips, The Drums's manager http://thedrums.com/ and one of the coolest girls in this world! :)

Done in 3h. I did not use any reference so I'm pretty proud of how it turned out (I love the hair!) ^-^. I know it's a little bit different from what I usually do, but I do find this way of drawing (actually is much more like painting than anything) interesting and fun too.

(Oh, about the dress, it's just that I know she would dress something much more cool, but I had a little bit of problems with it, so I had to leave it in its simple way.)

Hope you like it.

I was the one that held you through..

"They don't know how it really feels,
they're just here on holidays,
like dummies filling landscapes,
how could they see you cry?"

Done while listenig to this song (Superstars II - David Fonseca), and while thinking about some story, that I don't even know if it did ever happen, but that's how I think about it, and how I think it could have hurt, and so, this came out.

About the lyrics, I would just like you to understand that it is not the girl, the one that cries... I mean, I see her as the one that's worried... you should read the whole lyrics and you would undestand what I mean. Really... I love that song, I've felt that way my whole life..

oh, also... my wrist hurts today.

Too much worried... (I was)

I found this drawing done last summer... Don't know why I never post it anywhere, but I do like it. It was done in a rush, while the feeling was so real. Now, I don't remember who I was worried about..

I'm just..

..a simple sack of wishes and bones.

... just some words.

Why do we have to choose? just because people tells us that we have to?, 'cause there's no other solution?, why can't you love two things at the same time, that seem to be completely opposites? I mean, should you just stop loving one of them because people tells you so?

It's better to see the world in your own way, you'll be the one to realise you've been mistaken or you've been right. The one to choose who you are. If not... what will you do? kill yourself taking a decision? will you kill your need of being creative? Don't ever do that, don't ever stop your dreaming, never forget how you'd love the world to be, as long as you must never forget how it is. And maybe then you'll find the answer, and you'll realise there's no need to choose at all, 'cause you, in your own way, can have it all.

Don't choose one of the ways that are already done, just go one and create your own way.

just a little doodle thinking about the sun hitting. (thought it really combined with the words up here)

Sorry, but I needed to write this somewhere, and although I know it is difficult to realise that, or just to believe that words, I still find they are true, because where would we be if everyone had just followed the "accepted" rules? If everyone had adapted?

Where the Wild Things Are

Hi, I've been a little bit busy lately, and I'll still be one more week, but after that I'll start uploading drawings again... so many things to post, maybe I'll take a picture about th amount of things I've got. haha! then, maybe, you'll undestand why I'm so lazy about it. (I just hope I wasn't).
Okay, so now about what this is about, I've been posting a lot of videos lately, and I'm not really proud of that...

I do really love "Where the wild things are" and I had planned to watch it at my break week, but now I'm not so sure I'll be able to. I just hope I'll find some extra time somehow :)

My other plan with "Where the wild things are" was to read the book, actually I've been planning this since last summer, but I have that obsession that it must be an old version of the book, and I haven't been able to find one yet. Maybe I'll just have to order it from some second hand bookshop somewhere, 'cause there's no one where I live (I know, it's such a pitty).

Anyway, I'm listening to the movie soundtrack right now, I believe I have another little obession with it, it puts me in a mood that I would not know how to descrive in words.

The Legend Of The Poor Hunchman

This is just some amazing animation my sister showed me today. It's from the eighties, and it's some lovely story. And the music, oh..., I've fallen in love with the music too.
Anyway, give it a watch, it's really well worth it.

by Michel Ocelot (1982 - 7 mn 20)
(La légende du pauvre bossu)
Music: Christian Maire
At the top, an inaccessible princess, at the bottom, a ridiculed hunchback.
Between them, the insurmountable barriers of people, of class, of ego, of the narrowness of one's mind in a lusterless everyday life that belittles one. But the hunchback has a secret that he himself ignores.
Winner best French short animation award CESAR 1983
Mention de Qualité CNC 1982

(I did not know where to post this, and I know I was supposed to post drawings here, but, as long as I'll keep on with that, I do think I'll post some other things too as I said I would do in the very first post here.)

Maybe I'm not able to forget u

This is just something I've done... I know for u this one won't have much meaning 'cause you don't understand where it comes from, but for me it has. It's actually as if you were seeing part of a dream I had from a very tiny window, and you cannot see the rest haha. (I laughed, but the ony thing that's funny here is that I'm the only one knowing what's this all about, sorry.)

I've got another one done, from the same dream... Working on it, but as well as this one was digitally done, I draw the other with pencil, so it's a little bit different. You'll see that the other one is much more like a "scene" than this is. I hope I'll post it soon but I'm pretty busy with exams right now so I don't have much time, we'll see.

Here's a song for u
