Cats study

I did this a while ago on my sketchbook, as I'm trying to get better at drawing fluffy cats but also 'cause I'm trying to write a picture book for a contest, and it must be about cats.
Posting it now 'cause someone requested to see more of my cats (as I did post some a while ago on face and tumblr) and so, here they are.

Brush pen and a silver one I've got since I was 6 or 7 that I never though I would use again. There are Two pencils ones and I believe I used a black pen for some details.

Hey! I had not forgotten about the blog nor that I still have some sketchbook pages to post! I am sorry it took this long, but I wasn't in a mood for doing it, and also, I haven't been drawing anything that I feel is worth posting here, so I'm sorry for the late update.

Here you have it, 5 more pages of doodles and drawings I did during the last spring! You can also see a growing love for some TV series.. Also people I think I shouldn't have drawed, but they will never know so.. everything's alright.

Hope you like them! And I hope to get some more stuff done so I can get to post it soon enough!

Autumn Sketches

I've been on a kick for autumn recently, and when I googled "Maple Tree" today, I couldn't help but start drawing trees and leaves and autumn stuff with autumn colours and things. And I ended it all drawing this cute girl down here (who I'm certainly sure is enjoying the very first days of autumn! haha)

This is a close up of the girl..

And the lyrics you see there written are for the Jens Lekman's song "Maple Leaves", pretty obvious I guess but I just love it, and everything seems so autumn and I can't wait for leaves to change colour and start falling and for the air to bring those soft senses of wet earth, cold and wood fire.

But also, as I live in Girona, we're having the city's celebration aka "Fires" (I don't really know how to translate that) so there are gonna be lots of millions of good smells in the air: the once I said before plus the smell of roasted chestnuts, sweet potatos, candied almods.. (and I mean it like that 'cause you can find small stalls all over the city center which sell such things).

I just love it, and I love autumn.

I'm in a "fan art" mood today, so I started doodling the Drums, I wanted to include Myles too, but I was too tired by the time I finished Connor.. maybe one day :)

So here are the Drums, and yeah, I was listening to them the whole day while making this.. It's been a while since I last made a piece starting in traditional art and ending the colouring in the computer.. I'm so sorry for the bad quality, but I cannot do much more since those are photos from my sketchbook, I just miss my scanner! I still have it, and it works, but I have to take it to the other computer and move everything with a pen drive and all that stuff, and stairs and .. and.., I'm just too lazy for such thing I guess, that's why I mostly do it all on my computer and you don't get to see more than a 20% of all the drawings I do and I think are alright to show..

sorry.. I didn't want to complain that much. Not here, anyway, and I've already done it. Well, hope you like the Drums and this drawing, I feel there is more fan art to come soon!

pd. I do apologize for the bad way I drawed/painted the guitar and the synth... that's what happens when you're not using references for something u're not used to see nor draw.. I'm so sorry for that.. just do as if it did not exist!

 I know it's been a while, sorry, i had no time to post anything... but finally here it is, what i've been doing this days...  some of them were done while listening to a lovely melody..

 ..I know, i know, i think i've drawn this scene so many times.. i guess i'm just obsessed with hair blowing in the wind..

and here i had been listening and watching too much Ghibli...

and yeah.. Disney style, it's just that lately i've been trying some amazing brushes (in Photoshop) by an amazing artist i love, and they just work the perfect way.. i feel as if i'm drawing with a pencil or something and it just cames out so naturally... :)

I've just started my Easter Week so i hope i'll go on drawing,
